DIY: HALLOWEEN HEADPIECE

Here are two super easy, cute DIY projects to rock for those upcoming Halloween parties. Most of the materials used are actually items I had lying around at home or that I picked up from the Dollar Store, making these accessories super inexpensive. It’s always fun to put your creativity to work. You just need to pop on your headpieces, add some fun makeup, and you are good to go!

DEER ANTLERS:

– Twine

– Assorted flowers

– Sticks

– Wire

– Glue gun

– Wire cutters

STEPS:

  1. Wrap the headband in twine. You can choose to wrap your headband with any material, but I went with twine as it works well with this rustic look.
  2. This is the fun part! Head outside and grab any sticks that you think will look like deer’s antlers. Use the wire to secure the sticks to your headband.
  3. Take a variety of flowers and arrange to your liking.

CAT EARS:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

– Headband

– Black yarn

– Assorted beads

– Wire

– Glue gun

– Wire cutters

STEPS:

  1. Take your wire and bend it into two triangles. You can choose to make them as big or as small as you like. Just remember to account for some extra length so you can wrap it around the headband.
  2. Arrange the beads to a pattern of your liking, and feed it through the wire. Put a dollop of glue at the ends to keep them from falling off.
  3. Take the remaining ends of wire and wrap them around the headband to secure in place.
  4. Lastly, take some black yarn to wrap everything up to give it a finished look!

There you go; fun and quick DIY projects to give your costumes a personal touch. You can definitely use these as templates for other costumes as well. The cat ears can easily be used for a lion costume by changing up the colors. The deer headpiece can even be used for a Mother Nature costume by changing the placement of the sticks. The possibilities are endless! I hope everyone has a safe and spooktacular Halloween!
